“I’ll Remember This” - An Oil Painting

I’ll Remember This
Oil on canvas
16 × 20 inches
2026

Home is dappled light through the curtains, a hot cup of tea forgotten on the table, and children’s laughter drifting in from the garden before dinner. I'll Remember This reflects the fleeting beauty of childhood wonder and the quiet intimacy of ordinary family life. Through light, atmosphere, and softened edges, the painting becomes less a literal room than a remembered one - filled with movement, stillness, and the small objects that hold a life. It is rooted in the hope that the feeling of home may remain with us long after it has come to pass.

This piece depicts some of my most cherished memories: my two daughters playing in the garden, the rocking chair from my childhood home, and my daughter’s stuffed build-a-bear bunny toy.

It was painted for Campbell Museum’s Home juried exhibition and was selected to be displayed from June 26th through to September at the Ainsley Carriage House in downtown Campbell.
