Traditional Italian Cookies

INGREDIENTS


1/2 pound butter
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped pecans or almonds
5 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons almond extract
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS

Cream the butter, sugar, almond extract, and water.

Add flour and salt - blend well. Add pecans (or chopped almonds, if you prefer) - mix well. Roll into balls.

Bake at 325º Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.

After they’ve cooled, roll in confectioners sugar.

Enjoy!

One batch makes around 30 cookies depending on how big you make them.
